Kill Bill Star Michael Madsen Dies at 67

 Senior actor Michael Madsen died at the age of 67 on Thursday (3/7) morning United States time. Madsen died at his home in Malibu, California, due to a heart attack. Variety reported that Susan Ferris and Ron Smith as Madsen's managers have also confirmed the sad news in a joint official statement.

"Michael Madsen was one of Hollywood's most iconic actors who will be missed by many," his manager said in a statement.

Madsen's agency also revealed that the actor had been working on many projects in the past two years. Madsen was involved in several independent film projects that have not been released.

He also worked on a book titled Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems which is still in the editing stage. However, these projects were not released during Michael Madsen's lifetime.

"In the last two years, Michael Madsen has had a tremendous amount of independent film work, including the feature films Resurrection Road, Concessions, and Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and is looking forward to this next chapter in his life," the manager said.

"Michael is also preparing to release a new book titled Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems which is currently being edited," he continued as reported by Variety.

Michael Madsen made his acting debut in the 1980s. Madsen's first major role was in the sci-fi film WarGames (1983), then he appeared alongside Val Kilmer in Kill Me Again (1989).

He also starred in the hit biopics The Doors (1991) and Thelma & Louise (1991), before his fame really skyrocketed when he appeared in Reservoir Dogs (1992).

Quentin Tarantino's directorial debut became an iconic work for Michael Madsen. He played Mr. Blonde, who is known for the scene where he cuts off a police officer's ear while dancing to the song Stuck in the Middle With You.

Madsen then became one of Quentin Tarantino's regular collaborators. He starred in Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) and Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004) as Budd, then The Hateful Eight (2015), to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019).

He was also recruited to play Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction (1994), but turned it down and the role went to John Travolta.

Madsen has been actively starring in various films in recent years, such as Angels Fallen (2020), American Night (2021), Outlaw Johnny Black (2023), to Max Dagan (2024).
