Trump Announces US Successfully Bombed and Destroyed Iranian Nuclear Bunker

 US President Donald Trump announced that he had successfully bombed and destroyed a number of Iranian nuclear facilities in bunkers on Saturday (21/6) local time.

According to CNN, Trump announced that he would deliver a speech to the US public on Saturday evening at 10 p.m. New York time.

He called it a "highly successful military operation" targeting Iran's nuclear facilities in his announcement.

"I will address the American people at 10:00 p.m. at the White House regarding our highly successful military operation in Iran," Trump wrote on his social media account, Truth Social.

"This is the most historic moment for the United States, Israel, and the world. Iran must agree to end this war now. Thank you!" Trump added.

Trump previously announced that the US had "successfully carried out strikes" on nuclear facilities in Iran, including Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan.

Trump also reposted on social media stating that "Fordo is gone."

However, he did not specify whether the attack used bunker-buster bombs from B-2 bomber jets.

Trump had previously ordered the deployment of B-2 bomber jets carrying bunker-buster bombs weighing 13,600 kilograms each.

These bombs are the only ones capable of destroying bunkers of any depth, including those at the Fordo nuclear facility.
