Tonight Apple is Ready to Present a Big Surprise at WWDC 2025

 The time that Apple fanboys all over the world have been waiting for has finally arrived.

The annual Worldwide Developers Conference 2025 (WWDC25) will officially be held.

As in previous years, the WWDC keynote session will be the main highlight. Why? Because, companies usually use this moment to announce important things related to the operating system on their devices, starting from iOS, iPadOS, macOS, to visionOS.

But, this year feels special than ever before because the Cupertino-based company is rumored to be completely overhauling the interface design of its operating system, as well as changing the naming scheme to be more relevant to the launch year.

One of the biggest surprises anticipated is the name change from iOS 19 to iOS 26, following a year-based scheme. Predictably, this move aims to align all Apple OS - from iPhone to Mac.

Not only that, this name change is also expected to make it easier for iPhone, iPad and other users to understand the generation of software used.

Mark Gurman reported, we will get iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26 'Tahoe', tvOS 26, watchOS 26, and visionOS 26 simultaneously.

Apple is reportedly preparing its biggest design overhaul since iOS 7, with a more modern and transparent look a la Vision Pro. Rumors are circulating that the new iOS and iPadOS interfaces will be completely updated.

Reportedly, iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 will have a pill-shaped navigation bar, transparent menus, and app icons can be overhauled to be more rounded.

Apple is also developing an AI-based battery management feature, as well as updates to the AirPods app, AI-powered Shortcuts, and the Health app will be able to track user nutrition.

Internet reports say that Apple's latest macOS will be named "Tahoe", after Lake Tahoe in California--continuing the company's tradition of using local landmarks.

macOS 26 is also said to have a new look, consistent with iOS 26, including uniform icons and menus. Several new features are expected to be present, including Apple Intelligence integration, new game applications, and enhanced AirPod features.

The interface design on the Apple Watch will also experience a refresh, although not drastically. UI elements such as rounded buttons, transparent glass effects, and soft lighting will be the new characteristics of watchOS 26.

Although limited by hardware capacity, Apple is said to be adding several Apple Intelligence features that are specifically designed to run on the latest generation Apple Watch.
