Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are on the verge of breaking up

 Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's engagement is rumored to be on the rocks. The news reinforces speculation about the tension between the singer and the actor.

A source even said the relationship was over. They are just waiting for Katy Perry to finish her concert tour before completely separating.

"It's over. They waited until (Katy Perry's) tour was over before splitting up," a source told Page Six on Tuesday (June 10).

The source's admission continues rumors that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's relationship has continued to deteriorate since the pop singer launched the album 143 to hold the Lifetimes tour.

A different source previously explained that fans' dissatisfied reaction to album 143 troubled Katy Perry. She even reportedly became stressed and the condition also affected her relationship with Orlando Bloom.

Even so, there has been no official statement from Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom regarding the fate of their relationship.

"It makes her very stressed. Orlando understands, but it makes a little tension," said one source as reported by People on Monday (9/6).

"This is supposed to be Katy's big comeback. She was so excited. It's sad to see it fail. She was disappointed with the tour reviews. Ticket sales are good, but far from sold out. It's stressing their relationship," said a second source.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom started dating in January 2016. They have gone through phases of breakups from the beginning of the relationship, such as when the two confirmed their breakup in early 2017.

However, the relationship rekindled the following year. The singer and the Lord of the Rings saga star even got officially engaged on February 14, 2019.

The engagement became even more colorful when Katy Perry announced she was pregnant in 2020, until finally their daughter Daisy Dove was born on August 26, 2020.

Bloom does not deny finding many tests during his relationship with Katy Perry. They even consulted in a couples therapy session.

"We were in two very different pools. Her pool is not something I really understand, and I don't think my pool is fully understood by her either," Bloom said some time ago.

"Sometimes some things are really challenging. I don't want to lie. We fight with our emotions and creativity," he continued.

The news of the breakup came after Katy Perry released the album 143 on September 20, 2024. The album title 143 refers to the retro abbreviation "I love you" through pager communication.

However, her seventh album received so many negative reviews and was widely considered a failure both in the eyes of listeners and commercially. Forbes also noted that the album was a difficult release for one of the biggest pop stars.

In conjunction with her new album, Perry kicked off her Lifetimes Tour in April 2025, less than a month after participating in Jeff Bezos' all-female Blue Origin flight.

The Blue Origin flight was criticized for its cost and alleged impact on the environment.
