Marge The Simpsons is dead, are you sure?

 The animated series The Simpsons surprisingly revealed that Marge, Bart's wife, died in episode 18, the last episode of Season 36.

This caused an uproar among netizens in the virtual world. Especially considering that Marge Simpson is one of the main characters in the animated series, which has been airing since 1989.

In the episode titled "Estranger Things," Lisa and Bart are depicted as having a conflict. Eventually, Marge passes away, leaving Bart a widower.

35 years later, Lisa, who has become an NBA commissioner and is funding a nursing home for Bart, discovers that her father has been running an unlicensed nursing home business. Not only that, but Bart is also involved in a case that lands him in a special prison for the elderly.

Overwhelmed by her father's behavior, Lisa decides to visit her childhood home and finds a video made by Marge.

In the video, Marge says she hopes Bart and Lisa will become close again and depend on each other. This encourages Lisa and Bart to make up.

Meanwhile, Marge is shown watching the whole thing unfold in heaven with Ringo Starr. Entertainment Weekly on Wednesday (6/25) doubted that The Simpsons would actually remove Marge from the series, considering that the cartoon often features flash-forward episodes.

These flash-forward stories are often outside the main timeline of The Simpsons and merely glimpses of possible futures. Therefore, EW believes that viewers will continue to see Marge Simpson in the future.

Moreover, the television show has been confirmed to continue until Season 40, scheduled for release in 2028-2029. Therefore, there are still four more seasons with the potential to witness the wonders of The Simpsons' story.

USA Today also shares the same opinion. Especially considering that The Simpsons' writers are known for creating buzz, such as when they announced the final episode of the show last September, which turned out to be a promotional gimmick for the Season 36 premiere.
