Full Text of Trump's Speech After Destroying Iran's Nuclear Center
US President Donald Trump held a press conference after announcing that the US had launched attacks on three major Iranian nuclear centers on Saturday (June 21) local time.
In his speech, Trump emphasized that the attacks on Iran were carried out in order to end the conflict in the Middle East. He urged Iran to agree to peace.
The following is Trump's full speech, quoted from Aljazeera, Sunday (June 22, 2025):
Thank you.
A short while ago, the US military carried out a massive precision strike against three key nuclear facilities in the Iranian regime: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Everyone has heard these names for years as Iran built up this highly destructive effort.
Our goal was to destroy Iran's nuclear enrichment capabilities and end the nuclear threat posed by the world's top state sponsor of terrorism.
Tonight, I can report to the world that the strike was a spectacular military success. Iran's main nuclear enrichment facility has been completely destroyed. Iran, the Middle East's troublemaker, must now make peace.
If not, future attacks will be far larger and far easier.
For 40 years, Iran has said, "Death to America, death to Israel." They have killed our people, blown off their arms, blown off their legs with roadside bombs. That is their specialty.
We have lost over a thousand people, and hundreds of thousands across the Middle East and around the world have died as a direct result of their hatred, particularly many killed by their general, Qassem Soleimani.
I have long decided that I will not let this continue. It will not continue.
I want to thank and congratulate Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu. We have worked as a team in a way that no team has ever done before, and we have worked hard to eliminate this terrible threat to Israel.
I want to thank the Israeli military for the extraordinary work they have done, and most importantly, I want to congratulate the great American patriots who flew those extraordinary machines tonight, and the entire U.S. military for an operation the world has not seen in decades.
Hopefully, we will no longer need their services in this capacity. I certainly hope so.
I would also like to congratulate the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan "Razin" Caine—an extraordinary general—and all the brilliant military minds involved in this attack.
There will be peace or a tragedy for Iran far greater than what we have witnessed over the past eight days.
Remember, there are still many targets remaining. Tonight’s target was the most difficult so far, and perhaps the deadliest, but if peace does not come soon, we will pursue other targets with precision, speed, and skill.
Most of them can be eliminated in a matter of minutes.
No military in the world can do what we did tonight, not even close. No military has ever done what happened a few moments ago.
Tomorrow, General Caine, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, will hold a press conference at 8 a.m. at the Pentagon, and I want to thank everyone, and especially God.
I just want to say we love you, God, and we love our great military. Protect them. God bless the Middle East.
God bless Israel, and God bless America.
Thank you very much. Thank you."
