Escapes Iron Dome, Iran's Missile Hits Tel Aviv

An Iranian missile reportedly hit the Israeli capital Tel Aviv.

Israeli media Haaretz on Saturday (6/14) reported that the Tehran missile had hit several buildings in central Israel.

Israel's Channel 12 also said loud explosions were heard in a number of areas in central Israel. Along with that, an Iranian missile reportedly successfully landed directly in Tel Aviv, as quoted by Al Jazeera.

The Israeli military stated in a post that Iran has launched ballistic missiles at the Zionist State in recent hours.

Israel's air defense system is currently “working to intercept the threat”.

The military urged Israelis to seek shelter immediately and stay there until further notice.

Previously, Israel attacked a number of Iranian regions on Friday (6/13) morning. They targeted nuclear facilities, nuclear weapons programs, ballistic missile weapons programs, and Iranian nuclear scientists.

Iran's main uranium enrichment facility in Natanz has also been targeted repeatedly. The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi said there was radiological and chemical contamination due to damage to the nuclear facility.

However, the radiation was still manageable and not widespread.

The Israeli attack on Iran also killed a number of important officials, some of whom were IRGC Chief Hossein Salami; Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri; and an advisor to Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Ali Shamkhani.

Khamenei has vowed to retaliate against this Israeli attack. On the same day, Iran also launched hundreds of drones into Israel, although most were intercepted by Tel Aviv and Jordan.

Not stopping, Iran has now begun firing hundreds of ballistic missiles at Israel.
