ChatGPT Secret Features in the Latest Update That Are Rarely Known

OpenAI continues to add new features to ChatGPT, the AI ​​chatbot that has recently become increasingly popular. In the latest announcement, they announced a new capability that may be rarely known because it is indeed targeted at business people. 

Quoted from The Verge, ChatGPT users can now use "record mode" to record meetings, brainstorming, or when talking alone. ChatGPT can also now connect to Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, Sharepoint, and OneDrive, and users can ask it to get answers about stored documents. 

For example, users can ask "How much did my company earn in Q1 last year?" or "Tell me how many times I took the ferry on my trip to Italy last year."

“ChatGPT will structure and present data clearly and respect your organization’s existing user-level permissions from the document, along with citations,” OpenAI wrote.

The recording feature is currently only available to ChatGPT Team users (a subscription plan that costs $25 per person per month with an annual subscription for 2+ users). Connections to third-party storage services are available to users of ChatGPT Team, Enterprise, or Edu, OpenAI’s student-focused offering.

The new features are part of OpenAI’s push to monopolize the enterprise AI client market, where it is a big consumer. The company launched ChatGPT Enterprise in 2023, less than a year after ChatGPT launched. Its clients include Block, Canva, The Estée Lauder Companies, and PwC. It followed that up with ChatGPT Team, an option for smaller companies or teams, in January 2024.

OpenAI now has 3 million paid business users, up from 2 million in February. The company is competing head-to-head with tech giants and startups for big-name enterprise clients.

Google, Microsoft, Amazon and Anthropic are all going after the same types of businesses and racing to launch generative AI features for them, in an industry-wide AI race that is expected to surpass $1 trillion in revenue in less than seven years.
